The Boonville Community Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.  We operate on funding from taxes levied by Yadkin County from within our established tax district.  We also complete various fund raisers throughout the year to supplement our budget in order to provide the best possible service t our community.  The reality is that the services rendered by our department are very costly even though we are a primary volunteer agency.  Though we are primarily a volunteer agency, we do rely on part-time paid staff to supplement our volunteers on weekdays throughout the year.  The personnel cost to fund our part-time program alone is just of 25% of our total budget.  The remaining amount of funding goes to operating costs such as fuel, maintenance, repairs, training, supplies and utilities along with capital costs for equipment such as power tools, gear, hand tools, radios and apparatus.  Each year many line items within our budget are reduced or eliminated based on the overall needs of the department and the funding available through the local fire tax.  In order to achieve certain capital purchasing or operating goals that are needed but unavailable within our adopted budget, we rely on grants, fundraising and donations from citizens and private businesses.  We are especially grateful for donations received throughout the year in support of our cause.  If you would like to make a donation to our department, we now offer this convenient option through PayPal to make your donation.  Thank you very much for your interest and support of our organization.
